I'm an experienced software engineer, with a history of working for startups. I love the places where you wear multiple hats - write code, iron out requirements with stakeholders, talk to customers, support your code in production, etc. I've worked in Node, React, Go, Ruby, and Java. I've worked with AWS, OpenAI, GraphQL, Docker, and many other technologies. I've mentored interns, ran many technical and behavioral interviews, been a part of hiring decisions, and even done a short stint as a manager, though I will always prefer being an individual contributor.

About Daniel
While I'm a software engineer professionally, my first love was cooking. And I'm the kind of person who's always picking up new hobbies. On weekends you're likely to find me on the top of a mountain, unless I'm on a road trip visiting a national park somewhere. I love reading, board games, gardening, canning, crafts, Legos, etc. I live in Utah with my wife and 2 kids, and we have a lot of fun together. Everyone says that having kids makes life difficult, but they forget to mention that having a kid is like having a live-in comedian. Both my wife and I grew up in Colorado, but we met at school in Utah, and ended up staying here for work. My dream is to someday get a couple dozen acres up in Alaska, the most beautiful state in the US.
