Matthew’s College Qualifications
I studied computer science at MIT as an undergraduate and later enrolled in MIT’s master’s program in machine learning before leaving to pursue a startup full-time. I’ve been through the MIT admissions process myself and have a solid sense of what tends to matter for strong applicants. I help students with: 1. Application strategy Deciding what to emphasize, what to leave out, and how to shape an application that feels focused and intentional. 2. Essay feedback Clear, direct feedback to make essays more specific, more natural, and easier to follow. 3. MIT-focused guidance How applicants who get into MIT often frame their academic interests, technical work, and outside projects — and common mistakes that hurt otherwise strong applications. My goal is to help you submit an application that’s thoughtful, coherent, and true to who you are, without overthinking it.

About Matthew
I studied computer science at MIT and pursued a master’s in machine learning. I had offers to work in big tech, but chose the startup path because I care more about building and ownership than optimizing for prestige or wealth. I played competitive squash growing up and in college. These days I train for triathlons and ski whenever I can. I like doing hard things and setting goals that force real growth. I coach the way I operate: direct, high-agency, and grounded in reality. I help people think clearly about their path, pressure-test decisions, and tell their story without fluff.
